Big Creek Historical Society Museum & The 2024 All-State Fall Barn Tour

The museum will be open on September 14 and 15 from 1-4 PM during the Iowa State Barn Tour, which includes Moeckly’s Big Red Barn, located a mile east of the Polk City T-intersection on Northside Dr/118th St at the 44th St intersection. This iconic barn was built by the same man who constructed the Museum on the Square. Roxana Currie, who led the effort to create the museum's display about the barn's builder, Schaal, will be present to answer questions about his work and the ongoing search for other buildings he constructed. It's a fascinating mystery worth exploring!
